- New Harley-Davidson Low Rider S unveiled
- Includes new technologies
- To be introduced in India sometime next year.
Harley Davidson has taken the wraps off its 2020 model range in international markets.
The range includes a new motorcycle called the Low Rider S which as its name suggests is a variant of the Low Rider which is available in India. The bike gets a completely blacked out look in place of the chrome components on the standard version. It also gets a headlamp cowl, different handlebars as well as a redesigned, low seat. Moreover, it comes powered by a bigger 1868cc Milwaukee Eight V-Twin motor that produces 92bhp of power and 154Nm of torque.
Along with the Low Rider S, there also is the Road Glide Limited which is a replacement for the Road Glide Ultra. The bike gets a new wheel design, lower seat and new paint schemes along with heated grips as standard. Harley’s entry-level motorcycle in the CVO range, the Street Glide also gets an update for 2020 in the form of new custom colours, redesigned wheels and seats. It also comes with the HD-Connect service and Harley’s Reflex Defensive Rider System.
The HD-Connect is subscription-based web connectivity which allows users to access and get details about their bikes via smartphones. It also acts as a security system that alerts the user through the Harley app if the bike is being tampered with. Meanwhile, the Reflex Defensive Rider System is a host of electronic rider aids which includes cornering ABS, cornering traction control, engine brake control, hill hold control and a tyre pressure monitoring system. While this system is optional on Harley’s touring range, the CVO models get it as standard.
We can expect Harley-Davidson to launch the updated motorcycles in India sometime next year. In other news, the company will unveil its first electric motorcycle, the Livewire in India on 27 August.
