Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has updated its product portfolio with the launch of the 2020 Africa Twin CRF1100L Adventure Sports in our market. The standard model, on the other hand, is not available yet.
The 2020 Honda Africa Twin CRF1100L Adventure Sports is available in two variants – manual gearbox and dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The manual transmission version is priced competitively at Rs 15.35 lakhs while the DCT model is available at Rs 16.10 lakhs.
The Adventure Sports variant of the 2020 Honda Africa Twin CRF1100L series packs a larger fuel tank, taller windscreen and a wider sump guard than the standard model. The Adventure Sports also gets tubeless tyre compatible wire-spoke wheels. The ride related information is available on the new 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen display that is compatible with Apple CarPlay.
Mechanical specifications comprise of a BS6 compliant 1,084cc, parallel-twin cylinder motor that produces 102bhp at 7,500rpm and 105Nm at 6,250rpm. In comparison, the BS4 motorcycle was tuned to produce 86.04bhp at 7,500rpm and 93.1Nm at 6,000 rpm. Gearbox options include a six-speed manual and a six-speed DCT system.
Electronic aids include cornering ABS, rear-lift control, cruise control, wheelie control, DCT cornering detection and cornering lights. The electronics work with a six-axis inertial measurement unit.
The motorcycle is available for bookings while the deliveries will start in May 2020.
