Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced that the 2020 Africa Twin CRF 1100L will be launched in our market on 5 March, 2020.
The latest iteration of the Africa Twin features a bigger engine, updated features and revised styling. Internationally, the 2020 Honda Africa Twin CRF1100L is available in two variants – Standard and Adventure Sports.
Both models use a Euro5 compliant, 1,084cc, parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that replaces the Euro4 compliant 998cc motor. The new motor produces 102bhp of maximum power and 105Nm of peak torque. The Africa Twin CRF 1100L is available in manual as well as DCT versions in the international markets. The company is planning to get both transmission options to the Indian market.
The comprehensive electronics package includes a new six-axis IMU, Ride-by-Wire throttle, six riding modes (Tour, Urban, Gravel, Off-road and two user modes), ABS, cornering ABS, Honda Selectable Torque Control, rear lift control, wheelie control, cruise control system and cornering lights.
Standard features on both variants include full-LED lighting and a 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen display. The Adventure Sports model further benefits from a taller windscreen, larger fuel tank, tubeless tyre compatible cross-spoke wheels, top-box and pannier mounts and wider sump guard.
