Honda has launched the 2020 version of the CB400X in Japan. While there is no official confirmation about its arrival in India, the adventure motorcycle will surely make for an interesting proposition and rival against the KTM 390 Adventure. Here, is all you need to know about the Honda CB400X.
Styling
The Honda CB400X is an adventure motorcycle designed on the lines of its bigger sibling, the CB500X. It gets a semi-fairing which houses an angular full-LED headlamp and tall, adjustable windscreen. The motorcycle’s neutral set footpegs and raised handlebars should provide a comfortable riding position. And for 2020, Honda has updated the colour palette with Matte Ballistic Black Metallic and Pearl Glare White options.
Engine
The adventure tourer uses a 399cc, twin-cylinder motor engine that churns out 45.3bhp at 9,000rpm and 38Nm at 7,500rpm. In comparison, the KTM 390 Adventure’s 373cc, single-cylinder engine produces 42.3bhp and 37Nm.
Features
Apart from the full-LED lighting and adjustable windscreen, the Honda CB400X also comes with dual-channel ABS, five-step adjustable levers, and a fully-digital instrument cluster.
Cycle Parts
Suspension duties are taken care of by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Whereas, braking hardware consists of a petal disc at both ends. The Honda CB400X rides on alloy wheels with dual-purpose tyres and offers 150mm of ground clearance.
