- 2020 Honda CBR 150R launched in Indonesia
- Priced between Rp 34,934,000 to Rp 39,633,000 (on-road), Jakarta

The Indonesian arm of Japanese two-wheeler giant, Honda Motor Company has launched the 2020 edition of the CBR 150R. The motorcycle has been priced, depending on the variant, between Rp 34,934,000 to Rp 39,633,000 (on-road), Jakarta, which converts to about Rs 1.80 Lakhs to Rs 2.03 Lakhs in Indian currency.
For the 2020 update, the fully-faired CBR 150R has been updated with new colour schemes and graphics. For the colour palette, it now gets a new Dominator Matte Black, matte black colour combination with typographic decals and a Victory Red Black with edgy decals. The new colour schemes emphasize the sharp and aggressive lines of the motorcycle even more.
Besides that, the CBR 150R continues to be a motorcycle that can be used for daily activities as well as on the track. The 2020 edition receives a taller visor that allows more comfort and visibility to the rider, all-LED lighting and a fully-digital instrument console. While the suspension setup comprises of telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear, the Indonesia-spec gets five levels of setting at both ends. Braking is done with disc brakes at both ends equipped with ABS and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) feature which automatically activates the hazard lights on sudden braking.
Powering the 2020 CBR 150R is the same 150cc single-cylinder, DOGC, liquid-cooled unit that registers 16.9bhp at 9,000rpm and 14.4Nm at 7,000rpm. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Honda had introduced the CBR 150R in the Asian markets, including India, in 2016. While the motorcycle managed to secure its place internationally, it didn’t quite turn out to be a successful product in the Indian market. May it be the premium price-tag or due to the lack of uniqueness against its direct rival, the Yamaha R15 had to offer. Whether Honda India plans to re-introduce the CBR 150R in India is still unclear at the moment. However, considering that the company has opened dedicated BigWing outlets in the country, there is a strong possibility of the CBR 150R making a comeback in the future.
