- Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade priced at GBP 19,999 (Rs 18.8 lakhs)
- Also available in higher-spec SP variant
- Could be launched in India sometime in 2020
Honda has revealed the pricing of the 2020 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade; its flagship supersport motorcycle in the UK.
The new Fireblade is available in two variants- standard and SP. While the base variant has been priced at GBP 19,999 (Rs 18.8 lakhs), the higher-spec CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP costs GBP 23,499 (Rs 22 lakh). The difference between the two models is the hardware. The SP variant sports semi-active Ohlins EC 43mm NPX forks up front and an Ohlins TTX36 Smart-EC monoshock for the rear. Meanwhile, braking is done by Brembo Stylema calipers for the front and a Brembo monoblock caliper at the rear. Nevertheless, both motorcycles offer a titanium Akrapovic exhaust as standard.
Honda has completely redesigned the ‘Blade, borrowing the aggressive design cues from the RC213V-S. It sports twin LED-headlamps, multiple air vents and MotoGP-inspired winglets on the fairing along with an edgy rear section that completes its look. Underneath the new fairing is a new twin-spar aluminum frame that houses a 999cc, inline-four cylinder engine. This motor produces 215bhp; a bump of around 29bhp over the earlier model, making it the most powerful CBR Fireblade yet.
With the motorcycle ready to reach other international markets soon, we can expect Honda to introduce the new CBR1000RR-R Fireblade in India sometime in 2020.
