Honda recently launched the 2020 version of their best-selling motorcycle, the CB Shine in India. It gets a few changes that set it apart from the previous model. Here we list out what’s new in the 2020 Honda Shine BS6.
Pricing
The new Honda Shine is offered in two variants- drum and disc. While the drum variant is priced at Rs 67,857, the disc variant costs Rs 72,557 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This price is a premium of around Rs 8,000 over the BS4 models.
Fuel-injected motor
Powering the Shine is a 124cc, single-cylinder engine that is BS6-compliant and comes with Honda’s ‘PGM-Fi’ fuel-injection system. This motor now also comes with a five-speed gearbox in place of the four-speed transmission on the previous model.
Furthermore, Honda has equipped the motorcycle with the ACG starter that negates the use of a conventional starter motor which reduces gear meshing noises.
Added features
Honda has equipped the CB Shine with new features that add value to the package. It comes with a DC headlamp for improved illumination, an engine start-stop switch as well as an integrated high-beam and pass switch.
Refreshed styling
In terms of design, the Honda CB Shine retains the silhouette of the previous model. However, it gets slight revisions to its bodywork that makes it sleeker and more appealing.
Four colour options
The motorcycle is available in a choice of four colour options- Black, Geny Grey Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic and Rebel Red Metallic.
