The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX is now available in India with a price tag of Rs 10.79 lakh (ex-showroom). It gets many changes that set it apart from the previous model. We bring to you all the details of the 2020 Ninja 1000SX in this image gallery.
The 2020 Ninja 1000SX retains the design silhouette of the previous model. However, it now gets a sharper-looking front end which houses twin, full-LED headlamps, slight revisions to the fairing as well a redesigned rear section. The new Ninja 1000 also gets a single-sided exhaust instead of the dual-canisters on the previous model.
Kawasaki has also worked on making the 2020 Ninja 1000SX more touring focused. It gets a redesigned rider and pillion seat for additional comfort. The motorcycle also comes with a slightly more upright, four-way adjustable screen for better wind protection.
In terms of features, the new Ninja 1000SX sports a 4.3-inch, Bluetooth-enabled, full-colour TFT screen that can be paired to a smartphone using the Kawasaki Rideology app. It also gets a cruise control system as standard along with traction control and ride modes.
The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX retains the 1043cc, in-line four-cylinder engine from the earlier model. However, the engine has been revised to reduce emissions as well as running noise. And while it continues to produce 140bhp at 10,000rpm the 111Nm of torque comes in 700rpm later at 8000rpm.
While the suspension and braking hardware are similar to the outgoing version, the Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX now rides on Bridgestone’s Battlax Hypersport S22 tyres.
Booking for the motorcycle has already commenced across India at authorised Kawasaki dealerships. And deliveries are expected to begin soon.
