- Features a fresh set of decals
- Expected to be joined by a more powerful 60bhp version
Ahead of its official unveiling at the Tokyo Motor Show 2019, pictures of the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 250 has been leaked online. While the new edition of the fully-faired motorcycle gets new set of graphics, rumours also suggest that it will get a more powerful version.
The 2020 Ninja 250 will be introduced in two variants including SE ABS and the SE ABS MDP. According to the leaked pictures, it will be available in white, grey and all-black colour schemes. Of the two variants, the SE ABS MDP is likely to be a more powerful version of the motorcycle which will be capable of producing around 60bhp, as opposed to 45bhp of the standard iteration. Moreover, this higher-spec version is expected to be the one which sports an all-black theme.
The 2020 version of the motorcycle seems to remain unchanged in terms of cycle parts. While the suspension setup comprises of a telescopic-monoshock combination, braking hardware consists of disc brakes at both ends with ABS as standard. In terms of features, the Ninja 250 comes equipped with LED headlamp and tail lamp along with fairing-mounted turn indicators. Furthermore, all the information is displayed on a semi-digital instrument cluster.
Kawasaki currently retails the Ninja 250 in several Asian markets such as Thailand, Indonesia and its home country Japan. While it is unlikely to come to India, the Japanese bikemaker could introduce a bunch of updates for the Ninja 300 which is available in the country.
