- 2020 Ninja 400 gets three new colours
- Remains the same mechanically
- Likely to be launched in India soon
Kawasaki has unveiled the 2020 Ninja 400 in Japan. The manufacturer’s small capacity supersport motorcycle receives three new colours as part of the update.
Firstly, the Ninja 400’s KRT edition has been tweaked. While it continues with the same lime green and black colour, it now gets honeycomb graphics on the side fairing. Moreover, it also sports hints of red on the front fairing and underbelly similar to the Ninja ZX-10R. The Ninja 400 also gets a black and grey paint scheme with yellow ochre graphics. However, the black and white paint scheme with grey and red highlights is one colour that will make the Ninja 400 stand-out in the crowd.
Beside the new colour options, the Kawasaki Ninja 400 remains the same. The motorcycles uses a 398cc, parallel-twin engine that comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. The motor produces 47.5bhp of power and 38Nm of torque.
We can expect Kawasaki to update the Ninja 400 in India with new colour schemes. However, it is unclear if the company’s Indian subsidiary will incorporate the Japanese-spec colours or get a different set of colours altogether. As of now the Ninja 400 is available only in the KRT colour and is priced at Rs 4.69 lakhs (ex-showroom)
