Kawasaki recently revealed the 2020 Ninja 650 which gets cosmetic and mechanical changes. The motorcycle is expected to be launched in India sometime early next year. We bring to you details of the motorcycle through this image gallery.
The Ninja 650 gets a redesigned fairing which draws inspiration from its supersport sibling, the Ninja ZX-6R which is available in India.
It gets twin, full-LED headlamps which give the Ninja 650 an aggressive look. Meanwhile, the turn indicators are integrated on either side of the fairing.
The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 650 also sports a newly designed fuel tank which is now more muscular. The added bulk on the tank is likely to provide the rider with extra thigh support.
Kawasaki has equipped the new Ninja 650 with a 4.3-inch full-colour TFT screen that offers Bluetooth connectivity. This enables the console to be paired with a smartphone through a dedicated app which provides the motorcycle status and ride data.
The motorcycle’s 649cc, parallel-twin motor is now BS-VI/ Euro 5 compliant which has resulted in a 1.7Nm decrease in torque. However, power output from the motor remains the same at 67.2bhp.
Suspension duties are handled by 41mm telescopic forks upfront and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, 300mm disc brakes at the front and a single 220mm disc brake at the rear take care of braking.
Kawasaki is offering the Ninja 650 in three colour options. There is the KRT Green, Metallic Black with green highlights and Pearl Blizzard White also with green highlights.
