Kawasaki recently launched the new Ninja 650 in India at Rs 6.24 lakh (ex-showroom). The fully-faired motorcycle receives cosmetic updates and new features to justify its Rs 34,000 hike over the previous model. Nevertheless, if you are looking for a motorcycle around the price of the 2020 Ninja 650, here are your options-
New Kawasaki Z650: (around Rs 6 lakh)
If you are looking for a streetfighter motorcycle, there is the Z650. While Kawasaki is yet to launch the new Z650 in India, it is expected to do so soon. And considering the price of the Ninja 650, we can expect the streetfighter to cost around Rs 6 lakh. As part of the 2020 update, the Kawasaki Z650 gets new and aggressive styling thanks to the LED headlamp and revised tank extensions. It also gets a 4.3-inch TFT screen like the Ninja 650. The motorcycle comes powered by a 67.2bhp-producing, 649cc parallel-twin engine.
Kawasaki Versys 650: Rs 6.69 lakh
The touring-friendly Versys 650 is yet another iteration built on the 649cc, parallel-twin motor on the Ninja 650, and costs Rs 6.69 lakh. The Versys 650 rides on 17-inch wheels and road-biased tyres with long-travel suspension at both ends. While it currently gets ABS, a tall windscreen, and engine sump guard in its list of features, the Versys could benefit from a TFT screen, LED lighting, and possibly subtle cosmetic changes as part of the 2020 update.
Harley-Davidson Street Rod : Rs 6.55 lakh
With the other two motorcycles yet to receive updates, the Harley-Davidson Street Rod is the only BS6-compliant motorcycle in this list. It is priced at Rs 6.55 lakh and stays the same as the previous model in terms of features and styling. And even with revisions to make the 749cc, V-Twin compliant to BS6 norms, it continues to produce 60Nm of torque at 3250rpm.
