- Select Kawasaki dealers accepting bookings for the 2020 Ninja 650 and Z650
- Booking amount varies between Rs 20,000-50,000, depending on the dealer
Kawasaki is gearing up to launch the 2020 BS6 editions of the Ninja 650 and Z650 in India soon, as we had reported recently. Now, select dealers are accepting bookings for the bikes ahead of their official launch. The refundable booking amount varies from Rs 20,000-50,000, depending on the dealer.
Interested customers can call their nearest dealer and check if they’re accepting bookings by an online transfer of the payment. Further procedure of the remaining payment and documentation will be carried out once the company announces the prices of the bikes, which is expected post the ongoing lockdown.
In January this year, Kawasaki had officially revealed the tentative prices of the 2020 Ninja 650 and Z650. While the former will be priced between Rs 6.45-6.75 lakh, the latter will be pegged around Rs 6.25-6.50 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). Both bikes will demand a significant premium over their previous BS4 counterparts owing to the cosmetic and mechanical updates and new features.
The 2020 Ninja 650 and Z650 are powered by a common BS6-compliant 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine with a revised intake and exhaust system. The updated powerplant churns out 66.4bhp and 64Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. In terms of features they come equipped with an LED headlamp and tail lamp along with a Bluetooth-enabled 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster.
