- Gets new colour option
- No changes to the design or features
- Indian launch unlikely
Kawasaki has revealed the 2020 iteration of its quarter-litre adventure tourer motorcycle, the Versys-X 250 for the Indonesian market. The 2020 model retains the styling of its predecessor, although the new version benefits from a new colour option. The new grey colour on the adventure tourer is complemented by green highlights and a Versys badge that runs across the fuel tank and the semi-fairing.
The changes are limited to the addition of the new paint option. Thus, the 2020 Kawasaki Versys-X 250 continues to feature a single-pod headlight, tall windscreen, knuckle-guards, semi-fairing design and a step-up saddle. The hardware on the motorcycle comprises of telescopic forks at the front and a rear mono-shock to perform the suspension duties. Anchoring power comes from single, petal-type disc brakes on both wheels.
The motorcycle is powered a 249cc, parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is tuned to produce 33.5bhp of power at 11,500rpm and 21.7Nm of peak torque at 10,000rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
The quarter-litre Versys-X 250 will not be sold in the Indian market. Instead, Kawasaki will update the Versys-X 300 for India. The details about the Indian launch of the Versys-X 300 BS6 are scarce.
