Design
Kawasaki has retained the styling cues, and the 2020 W800 BS6 continues to feature a retro-design. The modern-classic from the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer uses a circular headlight with chrome surround, traditional instrument cluster, ribbed-style seat cover and wire-spoke wheels. The LED headlight adds a touch of a modern look to the retro-style product. The motorcycle tips the weighing scale at 224kg.
Colour and variants
The motorcycle is available in a single variant and colour option – Metallic flat spark black/metallic matt graphite grey. In comparison, Kawasaki offers the motorcycle in two variants – Street and Café Racer – in the international markets.
Hardware
The W800 is built around a double-cradle, high-tensile steel frame. The conventional telescopic front forks and twin-sided rear springs enhance the retro looks of the W800. The rear suspension setup is preload-adjustable. The anchoring setup comprises of 320mm disc at the front and a 270mm rotor at the back – both featuring twin-piston callipers.
Engine
The 2020 Kawasaki W800 BS6 uses a 773cc, twin-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 50.2bhp of maximum power at 6,500rpm and 62.9Nm of peak torque at 4,800rpm. The five-speed gearbox features an assist & slipper clutch.
Price
The 2020 Kawasaki W800 BS6 is priced at Rs 6,99,000. In comparison, its previous version was offered at Rs 7,99,000 – both ex-showroom prices. The W800 rivals the likes of Triumph Bonneville series in the Indian market.
