Kawasaki India recently announced the revised prices for its middleweight, retro-style motorcycle, the W800. The 2020 iteration of the motorcycle is Rs 1 lakh cheaper than before, and it is now available at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom India). Here we list the alternatives that you can consider in the same price range.
The Harley-Davidson Street Rod, which is the premium variant of the company’s Street 750 series, is available in three options. The prices start from Rs 6,55,500 while the most premium version is available at Rs 6,87,500. The motorcycle uses a 749cc, V-twin cylinder engine that is tuned to deliver 60Nm of peak torque at 3,250rpm. Unlike the Street 750, the Street Rod features premium hardware such as 43mm upside-down front forks and gas-charged rear springs.
For an even lower price tag of Rs 6,24,000, buyers can opt for Kawasaki’s middleweight sports tourer, the Ninja 650. The motorcycle comes equipped with LED headlight and a Bluetooth-enabled 4.3-inch full-colour TFT screen – features that are not available on the W800. The 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine on the Ninja 650 is tuned to produce 67.3bhp of maximum power at 8,000rpm and 64Nm of peak torque at 6,700rpm.
Kawasaki has launched of BS6-compliant Z 650 in the Indian market at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 5,94,000. The naked roadster, similar to the Ninja 650, will use an LED headlight and a Bluetooth-enabled 4.3-inch full-colour TFT screen. The mechanical specifications will include the same 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that also powers the Ninja 650. Similar to the sports tourer, the motor is tuned to produce 67.3bhp of peak power at 8,000rpm and 64Nm of maximum torque at 6,700rpm.
