- Kawasaki updates Z900RS and Z900RS Cafe
- Gets new colour schemes
- Likely to be introduced in India by end of 2019
Kawasaki has unveiled the 2020 Z900RS and Z900RS Cafe for international markets.
For 2020, the retro-inspired motorcycles get new colour schemes. The Z900RS which is also sold in India sports a new candy green colour with yellow stripes running on the lower end of the fuel tank to the rear section. It is also available in a full-black colour scheme that contrasts well with the motorcycle’s chrome elements. On the other hand, the semi-faired Z900RS Cafe gets the same lime green paint with a white stripe although the half of the tank is now finished in black. Kawasaki’s second colour option for the Z900RS Cafe is a greyish-blue paint with a white stripe across the tank.
Besides the new colour options, the bikes remain the same. They come powered by a re-tuned version of the 948cc engine that does duty on the Z900 street fighter. This inline-four cylinder mill pumps out 108bhp on the Z900RS. Although it bears a retro skin, the Z900Rs comes with . switchable ABS and traction control with three modes, including an ‘off’ setting. The instrument console follows the twin pod design, but with a central digital display that shows the rider a wealth of information.
As for the new colours, we can expect Kawasaki to introduce them on the Z900RS by the end of this year in India. And as far as the Z900RS Cafe goes, there is no official confirmation on the launch timeline of the motorcycle in the country.
