KTM recently launched the 200 Duke in India with a host of updates that sets it apart from the previous model. Here we list down what’s new about the 2020 KTM 200 Duke.
Aggressive styling
The new KTM 200 Duke gets a well-deserved cosmetic overhaul for 2020. Moving from the design that sported since 2012, the new 200 Duke looks much more aggressive. Using economies of scale, KTM has borrowed bodywork from the 250 Duke so the smaller Duke gets an angular headlamp with LED DRL, a sculpted fuel tank with sharp tank extensions and a sleek rear end. All of this bodywork sits on a new frame and sub-frame (again, borrowed from the 250 Duke and we are not complaining). While it gets a new skin, the 200 Duke is essentially the same motorcycle beneath.
BS6-compliant engine
Well, with the only exception being the changes to the 199cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected motor that make it BS6-compliant. Nevertheless, KTM has managed to retain the same power figures and the new 200 Duke continues to put out 24.6bhp and 19.2Nm.
Two new colour options
To complement the new aggressive styling of the 200 Duke, KTM has adorned the motorcycle with completely new graphics and colour schemes. There is the Electric Orange which consists of black and orange along with Ceramic White which blends white with black and features orange highlights.
Pricing
KTM has priced the new 200 Duke at Rs 1.72 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). This is a premium of around Rs 10,000 over the previous model. Bookings and deliveries for the motorcycle have already commenced in dealerships across India.
