2020 KTM 390 Duke: What else can you buy?

The 2020 KTM 390 Duke is priced at Rs 2,52,928 which is premium of Rs 4,716 over the previous model. The naked street bike now gets a BS6-compliant engine, new colour options and a two-way quick shifter as standard. While the 390 Duke continues to deliver a great bang for your buck, here are four other options which fall in the same pricing ballpark.

TVS Apache RR 310: Rs 2.40 lakh

TVS’ flagship motorcycle, the Apache RR 310, is a versatile machine which is adequately aggressive for the race track in terms of performance and overall character. At the same time, it is decently comfortable, which makes it suitable for long hauls as well. The BS6 model of the RR 310 is even more premium now, with features such as four riding modes, Bluetooth-enabled TFT display, GTT (glide through technology) and the grippy Michelin Road 5 tyres.

Honda CB300R: 2.41 lakh

The CB300R is unique-looking motorcycle which follows Honda’s ‘Neo Sports Café’ design theme with a mix of retro and modern styling. It is powered by a peppy and refined 286cc, liquid-cooled engine which makes 30bhp and 27.5Nm and packs a strong mid-range performance. What makes it extremely fun to ride is the 143kg kerb weight, Showa suspension setup and the finely-tuned chassis.

Benelli Leoncino 250: Rs 2.50 lakh

The Benelli Leoncino 250 is yet another unique package as it is the only scrambler-styled motorcycle in this segment. However, with alloy wheels and road-biased tyres, it is not focused on off-road riding like pure scramblers. Powering the bike is a 249cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine which produces 25.2bhp and 21Nm and gets a six-speed gearbox. One of the main USPs of the Leoncino is its meticulous styling elements such as the lion cub emblem on the front fender.

Royal Enfield Interceptor 650: Rs 2,64,919 to Rs 2,85,951

The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is a modern-classic motorcycle which is India’s most affordable bike with a parallel-twin engine. The 648cc, air/oil-cooled motor of the Interceptor makes a meaty 47bhp and 52Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. It is also one of the smoothest engines on a production Royal Enfield yet.
