- 2020 Street Triple under development
- Revised engine and styling
- Will come to India next year
Looks like Triumph Motorcycles has hired a factory of engineers in their R&D department. The company has developed the new Rocket 3, and we all know about the new Tiger 900 in the making as well. In fact, the Speed Triple will be getting some major updates. But things aren’t stopping there.
According to a report, the British brand is developing a facelifted Street Triple as a 2020 model. The engine will be heavily revised to meet the stringent Euro 5 emissions. In fact, the company has managed to keep the power output of the RS variant at 121.4bhp which is quite impressive, considering the fact that the upcoming bike will run cleaner.
The chassis and suspension will remain the same, but there will be some styling changes to make the bike look a bit sharper. The headlight unit will be new and will now sport a sleeker design. The side panels are new, along with the radiator. All these changes have resulted an increase in overall weight to 166kgs. So expect the 2020 Street Triple to tip the scale at 172kgs.
We are expecting a global unveil at the 2019 EICMA Show. India will get this bike in 2020, and yes, there will be a standard ‘S’ variant as well along with the RS model.
