Triumph has revealed the new Street Triple R for international markets. The motorcycle is expected to arrive in India soon and before it does, here are detailed images of the Street Triple R for you to ogle at.
The Street Triple R receives cosmetic and well as mechanical changes as part of the 2020 update. In terms of design, the Street Triple R incorporates the top-spec Street Triple RS’s aggressive styling.
It gets the aggressive twin LED headlamps with ‘eyebrow-like’ LED DRLs. The motorcycle also sports sharper tank shrouds and a sleeker tail section and is adorned with new graphics and paint options.
However, the major update comes in the form of the new 765cc, inline-three cylinder motor derived from the Moto2 engine. This motor puts out 116bhp of power and 77Nm of torque. While the torque is the same as that of the Street Triple RS, the R produces slightly lesser power.
Moreover, the Street Triple R is equipped with a quickshifter as standard. IN terms of features, it comes with an analogue-digital instrument cluster to keep costs in check and offers three ride modes- Road, Sport and Rain along with traction control.
As for cycle parts, the 2020 Street Triple R uses suspension hardware sourced from Showa. Meanwhile braking duties are taken care of by Brembo calipers at both ends.
Triumph is expected to launch the top-spec Street Triple RS in India sometime soon and the Street Triple R will follow soon after. It will replace the Street Triple S which is currently available in the country.
