- 2020 Triumph Street RS price increased by Rs 20,000
- Costs Rs 11.33 lakh (ex-showroom) now
- Was launched in April at the same price as the previous model
Triumph had started introducing the BS6-compliant models of its motorcycles from January 2020 in India. However, the company had announced that is deferring the related price until July. Staying true to its promise, the company had launched the 2020 Street Triple RS at the same price as its previous model in April. Now, Triumph has increased the price of the motorcycle by Rs 20,000 and now it costs Rs 11.33 lakh (ex-showroom).
The 2020 Street Triple RS is a substantially updated motorcycle over its predecessor. Firstly, the design has been tweaked for a more menacing stance with an angrier-looking headlamp and DRL setup along with a slightly redesigned bodywork. It also sports a new full-colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity for giving access to turn-by-turn navigation, phone and music controls and GoPro-related assistance.
It continues to be powered by a 765cc, in-line triple motor which churns out nearly the same power at 121bhp and 78.6Nm. However, the engine has been altered for cleaner emissions and better mid-range performance. Notably, the six-speed gearbox is accompanied by a bi-directional quick shifter as standard. It retains the top-notch hardware such as Showa forks up front, Ohlins monoshock and Brembo M50 Monobloc brake calipers.
In India, the 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS competes against the KTM790 Duke which is yet to receive the BS6 update.
