Triumph Motorcycles India has commenced the deliveries of the 2020 Tiger 900. Several dealers have started to hand over the latest iteration of the middleweight adventure tourer to their respective owners. The 2020 Triumph Tiger 900 range was launched in the Indian market on 19 June 2020, while the motorcycle started to arrive in the dealerships a few weeks later.
The Indian market has received three variants of the 2020 Tiger 900 range – GT, Rally and Rally Pro. The entry-level Tiger 900 GT is priced at Rs 13,70,000 while the Tiger 900 Rally and Tiger 900 Rally Pro are available for Rs 14,35,000 and 15,50,000 respectively. The Tiger 900 series rivals the likes of Ducati Multistrada 950, BMW F 850 GS and the Honda Africa Twin.
All three variants of the 2020 Tiger 900 range use the same 888cc, inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 12-valve, DOHC engine. The motor produces 93.9bhp of maximum power at 8,750rpm and 87Nm of peak torque at 7,250rpm. The engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox.
The Tiger 900 GT is the road-biased model uses alloy wheels and relatively shorter suspension travel than the Rally range. The off-road-spec Rally series, on the other hand, comes equipped with tubeless tyre-compatible spoke wheels and a longer suspension travel. Both motorcycles pack features such as full-LED lighting, seven-inch TFT display, optimised cornering ABS and traction control with IMU and heated grips.
