- Pre-bookings open for Rs 50,000
- To be launched in June 2020
- To be available in three variants
Triumph Motorcycles India has commenced the pre-bookings for its upcoming motorcycle, the Tiger 900. The middleweight adventure tourer, which will replace the Tiger 800, will be offered in three variants in the Indian market – Tiger 900 Rally Pro, Rally and GT. In comparison, the company offers six variants – Tiger 900, Tiger 900 GT, Tiger 900 GT Low, Tiger 900 GT Pro, Tiger 900 Rally and Tiger 900 Rally Pro – in the international markets.
The Tiger 900 Rally Pro will be the first of the available models for India. The Rally Pro is the top-spec model in the Tiger 900 range, and it comes loaded with multiple rider modes and customization options. The GT, on the other hand, is an entry-level variant that features a low seat height. The GT model aims to make the Tiger series more accessible for the new riders.
The pre-bookings for the new Tiger 900 are open on the company’s India website and at Triumph dealerships for a token amount of INR 50,000. The motorcycle will be launched in the Indian market in June 2020.
The Tiger 900 range uses an 888cc, inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that delivers 87Nm of peak torque and 94bhp of maximum power. The GT range is road-biased while the Rally series is designed for off-roading.
To ensure the safety of its customers and staff, Triumph Motorcycles India has put across an SOP to ensure social distancing and hygiene norms are followed across all its dealerships. The company further added that all motorcycles will be sanitized before test rides and dealership visits will be aligned only on booking a prior appointment. The two-wheeler brand is also initiated home test rides and home deliveries of bikes.
