Triumph Motorcycles has updated its India portfolio with the launch of the 2020 Tiger 900. We have already brought you the launch report and the top five highlights of the Tiger 900 series. Here we bring you a detailed image gallery of the off-road biased Tiger 900 Rally series.
The latest iteration of the middleweight adventure tourer series packs aggressive styling that features re-designed smaller-scale bodywork. The company claims that the new design aims to deliver a focused and aggressive adventure style.
The new Tiger 900 uses a new lightweight modular frame with bolt-on rear sub-frame and pillion hangers.
The off-road biased Rally series features a tubeless tyre-compatible cross-spoke wheel and a longer suspension travel than the GT range. The Rally variants come equipped with a 21-inch wheel and a 17-inch wheel at the front and back respectively.
The Tiger 900 Rally range is available in three colour choices – Pure White, Sapphire Black and Matt Khaki.
The 888cc, inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 12-valve, DOHC motor on the Tiger 900 range is tuned to produce 93.9bhp at 8,750rpm and 87Nm at 7,250rpm. Four riding modes (Rain, Road, Sport and Off-road) come as standard on the Rally range. The top-spec Rally Pro version, however, gets an additional “Rider configurable” setting over.
The new range also uses twin radiator set up that enable a further forward engine position for a more optimised centre of gravity.
Standard features on the Rally series include seven-inch TFT display, LED lighting, mobile phone storage and USB charging. The Tiger Rally Pro gets LED auxiliary fog lights, Triumph Shift Assist quickshifter, heated seats (rider and pillion), tyre pressure monitoring system, My Triumph connectivity system, illuminated switches and a centre stand as standard.
Suspension duties are handled by Showa 45mm upside-down forks at the front and Showa mono-shock at the back. Anchoring power comes from twin 320mm floating discs with Brembo Stylema 4 piston Monobloc callipers at the front and a single 255mm disc with a Brembo single piston sliding calliper at the back. The safety net on both, Rally and Rally Pro, include cornering ABS and traction control with IMU.
The Triumph Tiger 900 Rally is priced at Rs 14,35,000 while the Rally Pro variant is available at Rs 15,50,000 (both ex-showroom Pan India).
