- TVS hikes price of the Apache RR310 BS6 by Rs 5,000
- Costs Rs 2.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India)
- Remains unchanged in all other aspects
TVS had launched the 2020 Apache RR310 BS6 in January this year at Rs 2.40 lakh. Although that was a hefty premium of Rs 16,000 over its BS4 counterpart, it was reasonable given the host of updates it has received. After six months now, the price of the Apache RR310 has increased once again by Rs 5,000 and it costs Rs 2.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
TVS has kept the sporty fully-faired styling of the Apache RR310 unchanged, barring the inclusion of edgier graphics. Where the Apache truly shines now is in the feature department. It comes equipped with a five-inch TFT dash which gets Bluetooth-connectivity and shows a host of information. It also changes theme depending on the selected riding mode. Other features include full-LED lighting and TVS’ GTT (glide through traffic) technology.
Powering the motorcycle is a 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which, despite the changes for cleaner emissions, makes slightly more power at 33.5bhp. Meanwhile, the torque figure of 27.3Nm remains the same as the BS4 model. What’s further impressive is the availability of four riding modes – Sport, Track, Urban and Rain, which is something never seen before in this segment. Each mode varies the power output, throttle response and the amount of ABS intervention. Furthermore, its six-speed gearbox is assisted by a slipper clutch.
Despite the aforementioned price hike, the TVS Apache RR310 BS6 remains one of the most attractive propositions, given the kind of features, hardware and performance it offers. In terms of competition, it goes up against the KTM RC 390 in India.
