2020 TVS Apache RR310 BS6: What else can you buy?

The TVS Apache RR310 was already a desirable product for its price and equipment on offer. With the BS6 update, although it has become Rs 16,000 more expensive, the supersport also has more traits up it sleeves to keep its desirability intact. However, for those who are considering the alternatives around the Rs 2.40 lakhs price tag of the Apache, here are your options.

TVS Apache RR310 Right Side

KTM RC 390

The KTM RC 390 is a comparatively more aggressive motorcycle than the Apache, may it be in terms of looks, acceleration or the overall character. The 373.3cc, single-cylinder engine of the RC packs ballistic performance which is perfectly complemented by its angular and ready-to-charge styling. It also packs premium hardware with a trellis frame, WP suspension, ByBre brakes and Metzeler tyres. It can be bought at Rs 2.48 lakhs.

KTM 390 Duke

For the riders who desire manic performance like the RC 390 but don’t want to compromise on the practicality, the KTM 390 Duke is an ideal package. While it is powered by the same engine as its faired sibling, it offers more comfortable ergonomics and additional features such as full-colour TFT display, as opposed to an LCD console on the RC. What’s more, KTM has also introduced a bi-direction quickshifter in the BS6 390 Duke. In terms of pricing, the motorcycle demands a premium of Rs 13,000 over the Apache RR310.

Honda CB300R

While the CB300R is powered by a punchy and refined 286.01cc, single-cylinder motor, it is also as nimble as a 150cc motorcycle which makes it profoundly fun to ride. Moreover, top-notch components such as Nissin brakes and Showa suspension make the overall package all the more premium. Furthermore, Honda has also equipped the bike with modern features which justify its price of Rs 2.41 lakhs.

Benelli Leoncino 250

The Benelli Leoncino 250 is the only retro-styled scrambler in its segment which makes it a special motorcycle. Although it doesn’t offer as much performance and equipment as the aforementioned bikes, the unique styling of the Leoncino with sheer attention-to-detail make it a distinctive motorcycle to own. The fairly comfortable ergonomics of the bike also make it decently suitable for long rides. Benelli has priced the Leoncino 250 at Rs 2.50 lakhs.
