- 2020 RTR 160 4V spotted testing
- Gets new LED headlamp unit
- Will come with BS-VI compliant engine
TVS has commenced road testing of the 2020 version of the Apache RTR 160 4V. One prototype that looked production ready was spotted near its factory in Hosur.
From the pictures, it’s clear that the Apache RTR 160 is getting a minor aesthetic update. It will get a new LED headlight unit that is bound to make this bike look a bit more attractive. Rest, the design resembles the current model. But we are expecting a few more changes like new instrument cluster and striking paint schemes.
In terms of power, the 2020 model will get a BS-VI motor. The current 160cc setup produces 16.6bhp and 14.8Nm for the FI variant. The carbureted variant churns out 16.2bhp. So expect the carbureted variant to be discontinued in the next few months.
TVS is likely to add some more features on the 2020 Apache 160. Due to the BS-VI compliance, there will be increase in price, and to justify the increase, it makes sense to put in some additional useful features. We are expecting this bike to be launched in India in the next few months.
