- New Yamaha MT-15 showcased at BIMS 2020
- Gets new colour scheme
- Unlikely to be launched in India
Yamaha has taken the wraps off the 2020 MT-15 Limited Edition at the ongoing Bangkok International Motor Show in Thailand.
The MT-15 Limited Edition sports a new paint job. It incorporates a swanky turquoise blue colour on its body with the trademark neon yellow on the wheels and the tank. Furthermore, the Limited Edition also sports a new, smaller MT logo on the tank shrouds.
Apart from the new colour, the 2020 Yamaha MT-15 Limited Edition is similar to the standard model. It also costs the same as the latter in Thailand. The Thai-spec model rides on inverted forks at the front and also gets a lighter aluminum swingarm unlike the model sold in India which features telescopic forks and a box-type swingarm.
While Yamaha hasn’t announced power figures for the 2020 MT-15, the 155cc, single-cylinder engine is likely to continue with its 19.3bhp and 14.7Nm output. In comparison, the BS6-compliant Indian model produces 18.5bhp and 13.9Nm. The 2020 Yamaha MT-15 Limited Edition is already on sale in Thailand, however it unlikely to make its way to India anytime soon.
