Yamaha has updated its Malaysian portfolio with the launch of the 2020 MT-25. The quarter-litre naked roadster has been priced at RM 21,500 (Rs 3.80 lakh).
The 2020 Yamaha MT-25 looks similar to the MT-03. Thus, the feature list comprises of a projector headlight with LED DRL, an LED taillight, LED turn indicators and a digital instrument cluster. The styling cues include a muscular fuel tank, step-up saddle, split-style alloys and an engine cowl. The motorcycle is available in two colours – Ice Fluo and Yamaha Blu.
Mechanical specifications include a 250cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled DOHC engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to produce 35bhp of power at 12,000rpm and 23.6Nm of peak torque at 10,000rpm.
The hardware on the motorcycle comprises of 37mm, KYB upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock to perform the suspension absorption tasks. Anchoring power comes from single discs on both wheels while the safety net includes a dual-channel ABS as standard. The MT-25 is built around a tubular diamond frame.
