Yamaha India has launched the 2020 version of its famous YZF-R15 in India. The bike has been priced at Rs 1.45 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), making it Rs 3000 more expensive than the outgoing model.
The 2020 R15 is now BS6 compliant due to which the overall power output as gone down. The 2020 R15 now churns out 18.3bhp at 10,000rpm as compared to 19bhp in the BS4 model. The torque too has decreased to 14.1Nm from 14.7Nm. The engine continues to be mated to the same six-speed gearbox.
As a part of the 2020 model range, the new R15 will be equipped with radial tyre at the rear, side-stand engine cut-off switch and dual horn as standard. The bike will be sold in three paint schemes. The racing blue is priced at Rs 1.45 lakhs and gets blue colour wheels. The thunder grey and darknight paint schemes have been priced at Rs 1.45 lakhs and Rs 1.47 lakhs respectively.
The bookings for the new R15 has begun across all showrooms and the deliveries will commence from third week of December.
