- Gets updated design
- To feature Euro5-compliant engine
- May arrive in India in 2021
The upcoming 2021 Aprilia RSV4 has been spotted for the first time, and the updated model carries similar styling cues as the new RS660. Thus, the front fascia features a sleek, twin-pod LED headlight along with an LED DRL and the rear-view mirror integrated turn indicators. The changes to the fairing, fuel tank, and the exhaust canister are also evident.
The spy photographs do not reveal the instrument cluster, although we will most definitely see a Bluetooth-enabled colour-TFT display on the motorcycle. The suspension setup includes Ohlins sourced hardware. The anchoring setup, which comprises of twin discs at the front and a single rotor at the back, seems to use Brembo-sourced callipers. The electronics package should include ABS, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, launch control, cruise control, and a quick shifter.
The motorcycle will be powered by a Euro5-compliant V4 engine and we expect the power and torque output numbers to be similar to the outgoing version, if not slightly lower. The Euro4 variant, for reference, was tuned to draw 213.8bhp at 13,200rpm and 122Nm at 11,000rpm from its 1,077cc, V4, liquid-cooled motor.
The motorcycle seems to be production-ready, and Aprilia could unveil it very soon. While the India launch details are scarce, the updated model may arrive on our shores in 2021.
