Aprilia has finally introduced the Tuono 660 in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs 13 lakh. It was launched alongside the RS 660 that costs Rs 13.69 lakh. But for now, let’s focus on the streetfighter version as we tell you all that you need to know about the motorcycle through this image gallery.
In terms of styling, the Aprilia Tuono 660 looks similar to the RS 660. However, it gets a half-fairing and offers a more upright riding position.
Other design elements like the full-LED headlamp with DRLs, a muscular fuel tank, underbelly exhaust, and step-up seat are identical between the two. And Aprilia is offering the Tuono 660 in a choice of three colours- Concept Black, Iridium Grey and Acid Gold.
Underneath the bodywork is a die-cast aluminum frame and swingarm that houses a 660cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled motor as a stressed member. It features a 270-degree firing order for a soundtrack similar to the Tuono V4 and produces 95bhp of maximum power.
Aprilia has equipped the Tuono 660 with a host of electronic rider aids like ride-by-wire, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, cruise control, and five ride modes. It also comes with a colour TFT display.
As for suspension, the Tuono 660 gets Kayaba-sourced adjustable suspension setup. The hardware includes upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock. Meanwhile, braking is handled by twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear accompanied by cornering ABS.
In terms of competition, the Tuono 660 goes up against the Kawasaki Z650, Trident 660 and the Honda CB650R in the country.
