Benelli 302R has arrived at showrooms in China where it is priced at CNY 29800 which converts to Rs 3,42,858. The faired motorcycle is now Euro 5 compliant and comes with a host of additional features.
Starting off from the design, it can be seen that the bike now gets multicolour combination, full fairing on the sides, Benelli graphics, Tornado (which might be a variant) graphics and air scoops at the front as well as under the tail section for added aerodynamics. Hardware like adjustable levers, sharp fuel tank with Benelli logo, clip-on handlebars, a small windshield to avoid wind buffeting, two piece seats and reflectors on the sides are also used. In terms of features the bike gets oval shaped headlamp unit, LED indicators, fully digital instrument cluster and a sharp LED tail section.
Powering the faired motorcycle is a 300cc Euro 5 compliant parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine which produces around 34.5 bhp of power at 11000rpm and 27Nm of torque at 9000rpm, now this engine is coupled to a six speed gearbox. The ride of the motorcycle is taken care of by 41mm upside down forks at the front and a mono shock unit at the rear. The bike is also offered with disc brakes on both sides.
Upon its launch in the Indian market, it might be priced at Rs 3-3.5 lakh ex-showroom. The Benelli 302R will compete against the TVS Apache RR310, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the next-gen KTM RC 390 in the Indian market.
