- 2021 Benelli TRK 502 BS6 spotted in India
- Official launch to take place soon
- Gets updates in its engine and features
Spy images of what is claimed to be the 2021, BS6-compliant edition of the Benelli TRK 502 have emerged on the internet. Apart from a cleaner engine, the middle-weight adventure tourer seems to have received a number of updates. Let’s see what they are.
While the overall design of the TRK 502 has remained unchanged, it has received reinforced aluminum-frame knuckle guards, new handlebar grips, larger mirrors and different handlebar grips. Furthermore, Benelli has also equipped the motorcycle with backlit switches while the instrument cluster has also been tinkered with. It gets an orange back-lit LCD along with a white back-lit analogue tachometer. Notably, all these updates are the as same received by the new TRK 502 introduced internationally.
In order to make it more environment-friendly, Benelli has also tweaked the internals of the TRK 502’s 500cc, parallel-twin engine. The BS4 iteration of this mill makes 46.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 46Nm at 6,000rpm. With the BS6 update, these performance numbers might have changed to a minor extent. Now, as can be observed in the spy shots, the rest of the hardware of the Benelli TRK 502 has been left untouched.
Expect the 2021 Benelli TRK 502 BS6 to be launched in India in the coming weeks. It will be priced slightly higher than its BS4 counterpart which was pegged at Rs 5.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
