This new colour called Sparking Blue consists of white and blue with red highlights on the tank. It even gets a black frame and golden wheels to complete the look that has been derived from dirt bike from the ‘60s and ‘70s.
Ducati has also revised the seat on the 2021 Scrambler Desert Sled for better cushioning. The seat offers a pretty high seat height of 860mm. It rides on spoke wheel; 19-inch at the front and 17-inch at the rear. These are wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Rally ST tyres at both ends.
As for features, the bike is equipped with full-LED lighting all around. It also gets an asymmetrically-mounted LCD that can Bluetooth enabled. Moreover, the Scrambler Desert Sled also comes with a dual-channel ABS that can be switched off at the rear wheel.
Powering the motorcycle is an 803cc, L-twin-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 73bhp at 8,250rpm and 66.2Nm at 5,750rpm. This mill is linked to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.
Unlike the other models in the Scrambler range, the Desert Sled offers long-travel suspension; 200mm at both ends, to be precise. Meanwhile, braking is done by a 330mm disc at the front and a 245mm disc at the rear.
Now, Ducati has priced the 2021 Scrambler Desert Sled at Rs 10.89 lakh, ex-showroom. And it goes up against the Triumph Street Scrambler in India.
