Ducati has revealed its 2021 Scrambler 800 series, and the updated models are expected to arrive in the Indian market next year. While the company is yet to make a launch announcement, here we explain the 2021 Ducati Scrambler range in detail.
Design
The styling cues remain identical to the outgoing version, although Ducati has revised the colour palette and added a new variant to the series. The 2021 Scrambler 800 range comprises of four models – Icon, Icon Dark, Desert Sled, and the new Nightshift. The new Scrambler Nightshift gets a straight and narrow handlebar, cafè-racer mirrors, and Full Throttle style number plates.
The updated colour palette includes a sporty Ducati Red paint scheme and classic Ducati Scrambler yellow for the Scrambler Icon. The Scrambler Desert Sled, on the other hand, gets a new 'Sparking Blue' livery that features red and white details on the fuel tank and mudguards along with and gold rims.
Engine
The 2021 Scrambler 800 range uses a Euro5-compliant, 803cc, air-cooled, L-twin engine that produces 72bhp of maximum power at 8,250rpm and 66.2Nm of peak torque at 5,750rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
Hardware
All variants of the Ducati Scrambler range pack features like upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock. The off-road focused Desert Sled version packs a longer travel suspension setup and a bigger front wheel. The braking setup on all models includes single discs on both wheels.
Prices
While the launch details are scarce, the updated models are expected to arrive in the Indian market in 2021. The updated variants will most likely carry a price premium over their respective predecessors, and we may see an increase of approximately Rs 40,000-60,000 in the ex-showroom tags.
