- Recall affects 2021 Ducati Scrambler 800 Nightshift
- 228 units of the Scrambler 800 Nightshift affected by this recall
- Company to replace the indicators free of charge
Ducati North America has recalled the 2021 Scrambler 800 Nightshift models due to incorrect front and rear turn signals. These motorcycles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS).
According to the recall notice, the current turn indicators on the motorcycle may not be bright enough. This can reduce other driver's ability to see the turn signals, which could result in a crash. As a remedy, Ducati dealers will replace the front and rear turn signals, free of charge. The company is expected to mail owner notification letters by June 23, 2021. A total of 228 units are affected by this recall and the estimated percentage with the defect is 100 per cent.
The company stated that due to an error on this bike model's bill of material, these motorcycles were assembled with the incorrect front and rear turn indicators.
In more updates, Ducati North America has recalled several models over the rear brake hose issue. The brake hose issue affects Ducati Monster, XDiavel, and Supersport models.
