- Ducati SuperSport 950 production commenced
- Gets heavy updated for 202
- India launch sometime this year
Ducati unveiled the new SuperSport 950 S at the World Premiere in November 2020. The folks at Bologna have now confirmed that the production of the motorcycle has begun.
The SuperSport 950 gets major updates for 2021. Beginning with its styling, the SuperSport 950 now sports a Panigale-inspired, aggressive fascia complete with ducts, scoops and full-LED lighting. Even the fairing that has been stretched to offer a concealed look. Apart from the refreshed design, Ducati has added new electronic aids to the SuperSport 950. It gets a six-axis IMU that controls the new cornering ABS, wheelie and traction control system by monitoring the bike’s lean, pitch and yaw. Furthermore, the new SuperSport 950 S also comes with three ride modes and a 4.3-inch TFT display.
While it continues with the same 937cc, Testastretta L-Twin engine as the previous model with similar power figures, the motor is now Euro 5/BS6 compliant. And for customers wanting a slightly more focused SuperSport, Ducati is offering a higher-spec S version that comes with Ohlins Suspension and a swanky White and Red paint job to match.
As we reported in our unveil story, we can expect Ducati to launch the 2021 SuperSport 950 in India in the second quarter of this year.
