We recently rode the 2021 edition of Harley-Davidson’s bagger, the Street Glide Special. The whole experience was exotic, to say the least. To read our detailed review of the Street Glide Special, head here. Meanwhile, in this post, we give you a lowdown of some of our favourite pictures from the review.
The design of the Street Glide is one of the main highlights of the motorcycle. It has a road presence in abundance with a humungous and sleek front faring and glistening chrome on several components.
The rear section of the motorcycle looks equally outrageous with angular panniers on both sides of the swooping fender along with long, chrome-finished exhaust canisters.
Justifying its tourer tag, the Street Glide is comfortable enough to be ridden over profoundly long distances on the highway. With an extremely laid-back riding stance, there’s no sense of fatigue whatsoever.
While keeping the rider comfortable, the Street Glide can also keep one entertained with the Boom Box GTS Infotainment system comprising a touchscreen display for selecting various features and two large speakers flanking front fairing.
As for the safety aids, there are limited but useful features available for the rider including traction control, cruise control, and of course, dual-channel ABS as standard.
Propelling this hefty behemoth is an 1868cc, V-twin mill that delivers gallops of torque across the rev range. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch.
Harley-Davidson sells the 2021 Street Glide Special in three colours in India including black, grey and red and the prices of the bike start at Rs 31,99,000 (ex-showroom).
