Hero MotoCorp has announced the launch of the 2021 Maestro Edge 125 in the Indian market with prices starting from Rs 72,250 onwards. The scooter is available in three variants – Drum, Disc, and Connected. Here we explain the similarities and differences between the three versions of the 125cc scooter.
Standard features across the range include projector LED headlight with LED insignia at the front, an LED taillight, i3S technology, an Eco indicator, real-time fuel economy indicator, and a fully digital instrument cluster. The disc version further benefits from Bluetooth connectivity, diamond-cut alloy wheels, a mobile charging port, and under-seat storage lamp. The fully-loaded Connected variant gets in-built Hero Connect system as standard. The safety net of side-stand engine cut-off system is available as optional extra on all three variants.
The colour choices for the range-topping Connected variant include two options – Prismatic Yellow and Prismatic Purple. The disc variant is available in six paint options – Candy Blazing Red, Panther Black, Pearl Silver White, Matte Techno Blue, Prismatic Yellow, and Prismatic Purple. Lastly, the Drum variant is listed in four colour options – Candy Blazing Red, Panther Black, Pearl Silver White, and Matte Techno Blue. Check out the prices below:

The mechanical specifications are identical on all three variants. Thus, the 2021 Maestro Edge 125 series uses a BS6-compliant 124.6cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 9bhp of power at 7,000rpm and 10.4Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm.
