- Standard Africa Twin now available in Pearl Glare White Tricolor paint
- No mechanical or feature changes to the 2021 model
- Other options include ‘CRF’ Grand Prix Red and Matt Ballistic Black Metallic
The 2021 iteration of the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin has received a new colour option. The Japanese adventure tourer will now be available in Pearl Glare White Tricolor paint scheme. Other options on the palette include ‘CRF’ Grand Prix Red and Matt Ballistic Black Metallic. The Pearl Glare White Tricolor paint option is already available on the Adventure Sports variant. The changes, however, are limited to the addition of the paint option.
The motorcycle has already received a Euro5/BS6 upgrade. The updated model uses a 1,084cc, parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that produces 102bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 105Nm of torque at 6,250rpm. In comparison, the BS4 model was tuned to deliver 86.04bhp at 7,500rpm and 93.1Nm at 6,000rpm. The motorcycle is available in two gearbox options – a six-speed manual and a six-speed DCT.
Electronic rider aids include cornering ABS, rear-lift control, cruise control, wheelie control, DCT cornering detection and cornering lights. The Adventure Sports variant of the 2020 Honda Africa Twin CRF1100L series packs a larger fuel tank, taller windscreen and a wider sump guard than the standard model. The Adventure Sports also gets tubeless tyre compatible wire-spoke wheels. Furthermore, the ride related information is available on the new 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen display that is compatible with Apple CarPlay.
