Honda recently took the wraps off the 2021 CB1000R that will be sold in international markets soon. While it is expected to be launched in India by mid-2021, here we tell you all that’s new about the 2021 Honda CB1000R.
Revised styling
The neo-retro styling of the Honda CB1000R debuted a few years ago and trickled down to even the smallest motorcycle of CB range. While it was aspirational for the consumers wanting that motorcycle, it wasn’t so for the owners owning the inline-four powered streetfighter.
So to set it apart, Honda has subtly redesigned the CB1000R for 2021, replacing the round headlamp with a more angular and oval full-LED headlamp. Adding to the changes, the 2021 Honda CB1000R also gets a new radiator and side plates as well as new w-spoke wheels made from cast aluminum.
New features
As for features, the new CB1000R comes equipped with a five-inch full-colour TFT screen for an instrument cluster instead of the small LCD unit that featured on the previous model. Honda has added value to the package by offering the streetfighter with a USB charging port, as well as Honda Smartphone Voice Control for the Bluetooth-enabled display.
Cleaner engine
The Honda CB1000R’s 998cc, inline-four cylinder mill is now Euro 5-compliant. While it churns out the same 143bhp as before, Honda claims to have revised the engine programmed fuel injection system to offer a smoother throttle response and power delivery.
Offered in two variants
Apart from the standard version, Honda is also offering the 2021 CB1000R in a Black Edition. And this version gets a completely blacked-out theme. All the brushed-aluminum bits have been replaced by black components on the CB1000R Black Edition. Moreover, the special version also sports a quickshifter as standard accessory.
