2021 Honda CBR650R and CB650R launched in Malaysia

Honda has updated its Malaysian product portfolio with the launch of the 2021 CBR650R and the CB650R motorcycles. The fully-faired model has been priced at RM 45,499 (Rs 8.18 lakh) while the naked roadster version is available at RM 43,499 (Rs 7.82 lakh) in the country. The CBR650 is listed in two colours – Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic. The CB650R, on the other hand, is available in Candy Chromosphere Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.
Both, the CBR650R and the CB650R received comprehensive upgrades during the Euro5 upgrade. The CBR650R, for example, received a twin-pod headlight while the CB650R benefited from the Neo Sports Café styling. Other updates to the middleweight products from the Japanese brand comprise a new LCD screen, USB charging socket, revised ergonomics, and 41mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston inverted forks.
Mechanical specifications include a Euro5-compliant 649cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine that produces 93.8bhp of power at 12,000rpm and 63Nm of peak torque at 8,500rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The anchoring setup includes dual discs at the front and a single rotor at the back while the safety net comprises Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and dual-channel ABS.
