Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has updated its product portfolio with the launch of the 2021 CBR650R. The BS6-compliant middleweight motorcycle, which will be imported via the CKD route, has been launched at Rs 8.88 lakh (ex-showroom, Haryana). The motorcycle will be available in two colour options – Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.
The bookings for the motorcycle have commenced at the company’s BigWing Topline dealerships in Gurugram (Haryana), Mumbai (Maharashtra), Bengaluru (Karnataka), Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Kochi (Kerala), and Hyderabad (Telangana).
The changes to the 2021 model include mechanical upgrades to comply with the newest emission norms. The BS6-compliant, 648.72cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine on the CBR650R produces 85.8bhp at 12,000rpm and 57.5Nm of peak torque at 8,500rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox that benefits from an assist and a slipper clutch mechanism.
The feature list continues to pack full-LED lighting, an LCD instrument cluster, 4-1 side swept exhaust, Showa Separate Function-Big Piston (SSF-BP) USD front forks, rear mono-shock, dual discs at the front, a single rotor at the back, a dual-channel ABS, and traction control system.
