Honda has unveiled the 2021 iteration of its middleweight motorcycle, the CBR650R. The latest version of the motorcycle gets mechanical upgrades to comply with the Euro5 emission norms along with a few cosmetic changes. The updated model is expected to arrive in the Indian market, although the company is yet to make an announcement.
Similar to the CB650R naked roadster, the 2021 CBR650R also gets the 41mm Showa Separate Function Big Piston USD forks. The suspension setup at the rear continues to include a seven-step preload-adjustable mono-shock. The 2021 model also gets improved visibility for the LCD screen, new headlight reflectors, USB Type-C charging socket under the seat, new side panels, and an updated number plate mount. The colour options include Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic and Candy Chromosphere Red.
The Euro5-compliant motor continues to deliver similar numbers as the old model. The 649cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine makes 93.8bhp at 12,000rpm and 63Nm at 8,500rpm. Anchoring setup includes 310mm dual discs at the front and a 240mm rotor at the back. The safety net includes Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and dual-channel ABS.
