- Kawasaki Ninja 300 BS6 launched in three colour options
- Power figures have remained the same as the BS4 iteration
- Priced at Rs 3.18 lakh (ex-showroom)
Kawasaki recently launched the BS6-compliant model of its entry-level offering, the Ninja 300, in India. Its BS4 iteration was discontinued back in December 2019. After waiting for over a year, what we received is a cleaner engine with the rest of the hardware remaining unchanged. However, the Japanese bike maker has introduced it in three colour options with fresh new graphics. Let’s check out these colour schemes in detail.
The boldest of the three is the Lime Green version which sports a green front cowl, fender and fuel tank while the fairing is black on top and white at the bottom. Subtle red accents add to its elegance. Then there’s a Candy Lime Green paint scheme which gets green bottom part of the faring and misses out on white accents. However, it features mesh-like graphics along with a large ‘Ninja’ decal across the fairing. Third is the Ebony trim which is the most understated with all-black bodywork accompanied by green-coloured graphics.
Powering the Ninja 300 is the same 296cc, parallel-twin engine which, at 38.88bhp and 26.1Nm, churns out the same power and torque as its BS4 trim. Transmission duties are handled by a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with telescopic forks and a monoshock. Braking is handled by a single disc at both ends. On the feature front, the baby Ninja gets a semi-digital instrument cluster, an LED tail lamp and dual-channel ABS as standard.
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 BS6 goes up against the TVS Apache RR310 and the KTM RC 390.
