- 2021 model gets two new colours
- Currently available in China
- India launch details unavailable yet
Kawasaki has updated its Chinese portfolio with the launch of new colour options for the Ninja 400. The sub-500cc model from the Japanese two-wheeler brand, which was previously sold in two colours, is now available in four paint options in China.
The existing Metallic spark black/Lime Green and Lime Green/Ebony (KRT edition) paint options are now joined by Metal Twilight Blue and Metal Deep Grey in China. The Lime Green/Ebony (KRT edition) gets the Kawasaki Racing Team graphics that look very appealing. Other colour options feature relatively subtle graphics that are visible across the body panels. The feature list retains a twin-pod LED headlamp, an LED tail lamp, fairing integrated front blinkers, and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
The mechanical specifications on the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 400 include the same 399cc, parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 46bhp of maximum power and 37.2Nm of peak torque. The hardware on the motorcycle comprises a steel trellis frame, 41mm telescopic forks, and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock. The anchoring tasks are handled by a 310mm disc at the front and a 220mm rotor at the back.
Kawasaki had introduced the motorcycle in limited numbers in the Indian market in 2019. The company, however, has not made any announcement about the BS6 variant of the motorcycle.
