- 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 400 launched in China
- Gets two new colour options
- No information regarding its India re-launch
Kawasaki has updated its supersport, the Ninja 400, for 2021 in China. The only change it has received is the introduction of two new colour options including Metal Twilight Blue and Metal Deep Grey. Now, it is available in a total of four colour options in China as the company has retained the KRT version and Metal Spark Black edition. The motorcycle has remained unchanged on the mechanical front.
Powering the 2021 Ninja 400 is the same 399cc, parallel-twin cylinder engine that churns out around 46bhp of power and 37.2Nm of peak torque. Underpinned by a steel trellis frame, it is suspended by 41mm telescopic forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock. Stopping power comes from a 310mm disc up front and a 220mm disc at the rear. It gets an LED headlamp and LED tail lamp while all the information is shown on a semi-digital instrument cluster.
The Kawasaki Ninja 400 was sold in India in its BS4 form until the new BS6 emission norms kicked in. Now, there’s no information regarding its comeback in India anytime soon. But Kawasaki launched its smaller sibling this year, the Ninja 300, with a price tag of Rs 3.18 lakh (ex-showroom).
