- 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R images leaked
- Gets a redesigned front end
- Likely to be revealed on 23 November
Kawasaki is prepping to globally unveil the new 2021 version of its litre-class sportsbike, the Ninja ZX-10R, soon. Ahead of its official unveil, the motorcycle was recently leaked in certification documents submitted in Australia.
The documents comprise of images of the 2021 ZX-10R and its more track-focused version, the ZX-10RR. The pictures reveal that the styling of the bikes has gone through some significant changes, especially the front fascia. The sleek and compact front end has been replaced by a more bulbous-looking assembly, which seems to be inspired by the Ninja H2. It gets compact LED headlamps with angular contours along with a large windscreen. Beyond this, the fairing, fuel tank and the tail seem to have remained majorly unchanged.
While the standard model of the bike adorned black colour with green accents, the homologation special RR draped green paint across its body work. Interestingly, the pictures also reveal a new larger digital instrument cluster, likely to be a TFT screen. One thing which is missing on the 2021 Ninja ZX-10R is a set of winglets which has become common in litre-class bikes. As for the engine, the 998cc, inline four-cylinder motor of the bike will go through Euro5-bound change revisions which might result in changes in its power output. The current-gen bike churns out 207.2bhp and 114.9Nm.
Kawasaki is all set to globally reveal as many as six new motorcycles on 23 November and the 2021 Ninja ZX-10R is expected to be a part of this event. The motorcycle will certainly come to the Indian shores at a later stage.
